AND THE WINNER IS......

The Audience Award winning films and the Jury Awarded films were announced following the Gala Closing Night screening of "Were the World Mine" at the Gusman Theater.

The Jury winning films were: BEST FEATURE: "THE EDGE OF HEAVEN", BEST DOCUMENTARY: "CHRIS & DON: A LOVE STORY". The Audience Award winning films were: BEST FEATURE: "THE WORLD UNSEEN", BEST SHORT "WHO I AM" and the BEST DOCUMENTARY "CALL ME TROY."

The filmmakers for the closing night Gala "Were the World Mine" threw a fabulous bash in an Ocean Drive penthouse to celebrate the screening at the festival. We spoke with director Thomas Gustafson and hunky lead actors Tanner Cohen and Nathaniel David Becker.

THE HUNK AND THE DRAG QUEEN CHARM FT. LAUDERDALE AUDIENCES

Audiences in Ft. Lauderdale got an eyeful last night at the screenings of "Pageant" and "Ciao" both held at the Gateway Cinemas. Alessandro Calza, the star of the movie "Ciao" and Chantel Reshae from the movie "Pageant" both charmed their packed houses of eager filmmgoers. The next morning we spoke with both at the Dorset Hotel in South Beach on the reaction to their screenings.

"TRU LOVED" WORLD PREMIERE SCREENING UNDER THE STARS

The stars were out in the sky and also at the Flamingo South Beach where the World Premiere screening of "Tru Loved" was held outdoors in perfect balmy weather. Joining the screening were the filmmakers and cast including "Star Treks" Nichelle Nichols.

One of the most popular films at the festival was the screening of "The World Unseen" which was sold out and had to add another screening in an adjacent theater. The theater was packed full of excited filmgoers who loved the film. The filmmakers producer Hannan Kattan and Shamim Sarif were enthusiastic about the audience response.
